Wisconsin has Spoken
On November 2, 2010 ~ Wisconsin declared loud and clear, “we are no longer going to be ruled by the status quo in Madison or Washington D.C.!
We all witnessed a historic midterm election that turned Wisconsin Red again. With a Republican Governor, State Senate, State Assembly, Attorney General, and State Treasurer ~ we have the players in place to get Wisconsin back to work!
County Republicans worked very hard to elect an Assemblymen who would hold the line on irresponsible spending in Madison and bring the voice of the people who elected him, into the chambers of the Assembly to be heard. We are honored to have so many Republicans elected on Tuesday.
The 7th Congressional District worked extremely hard to replace a 40 year Washington Squatter with a fresh Conservative and after decades of Pork, we finally did it. We now have an opportunity to bring new energy and Wisconsin values into the House of Representatives. Sean Duffy pledged do that for us.
Wisconsin made a good choice to remove Senator Feingold from office, because he didn’t represent the people of Wisconsin and their best interests and after 18 years in Washington, he could no longer convince the voters that status quo deserved another shot.
We elected Ron Johnson as our next Senator and expect him to bring the leadership and innovation with him to Washington that is currently lacking. We expect that he will fight for Wisconsin and stay clear of Washington insiders and Republican moderates; to be the fresh voice in the Senate.
We finally elected a new Governor and Lt. Governor who promised to make Wisconsin a business friendly place to live and play. We look forward to a new climate that welcomes and encourages entrepreneurship and innovation in the business arena.
We voted for all of this and we have high expectations for all of them. We gave them our vote ~ our precious vote ~ knowing that we had to trust them and believe the promises they made during their campaigns.
We send them to Madison and Washington, believing that they will be diligent and steadfast in their devotion to those who elected them to office, knowing that they can and will be removed as quickly as they were put into office if they compromise themselves and their convictions.
Congratulations to those who were elected on November 2nd, 2010! We are proud of what we accomplished and have hope and faith that you will succeed in your new positions.
ObamaCare’s Redistribution of Health
By BETSY McCAUGHEY–September 27, 2010
New projections from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid paint a stark picture of the impact of the ObamaCare law: We’re in for a massive redistribution of health resources.
When the projections were released this month, news reports stressed that the president’s "reform" utterly fails to slow the growth of health-care spending. Every year through 2019, employers and consumers will face higher premiums than if the law hadn’t passed.
But worse news is how radically the Obama law spreads the health wealth around.
In 2014, a staggering 85.2 million people — 31 percent of all nonelderly Americans — will be on Medicaid and CHIP (the Medicaid-like children’s health program). This accounts for the majority of those who’d gain health coverage. Amazingly, only 3 percent more people will have private insurance.
President Obama pledged to reduce the number of uninsured by making health plans affordable — but that’s not how his law actually does it. Rather, it loosens Medicaid eligibility by raising the income ceiling and barring asset tests.
In short, it pushes our country toward a welfare state.
Often, workers put up with low salaries to get good health benefits for their families. But the new law stipulates that Medicaid recipients get the same benefits that employers are required to provide workers. That will diminish the incentive to work — another step toward reversing welfare reform. Why stick it out on the job if the benefits are just as good in Medicaid?
ObamaCare is the health component of an overall move to make more people dependent on government. In the last two years, we’ve seen a breathtaking expansion of food stamps, Medicaid, welfare and housing programs. One in six Americans depends on them.
That’s partly due to the recession — but the Obama administration projects roughly doubling spending on these programs by 2018, even in years it predicts the economy will be booming.
Two fundamental American sentiments get trampled in the process: our culture of hard work and self-sufficiency and our commitment to stand by the generation that nurtured us.
To expand Medicaid, the Obama law eviscerates Medicare. It’s like robbing Peter to pay Paul, only it’s robbing grandma and grandpa. The new projections show that in 2019, for example, ObamaCare cuts Medicare funding by $86.4 billion — which works out to $1, 428 less for each elderly patient that year. Baby boomers will face difficulties accessing care that seniors now get. Richard Foster, chief actuary for Medicare, has spoken with brave bluntness about the possible impact, warning that some hospitals might stop taking Medicare. Where will seniors go?
Figures don’t lie. The projections from the Obama administration’s own agency, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, depict the truth in stark terms.
Higher premiums are bad enough, but to see the older generation victimized in order to expand a welfare culture is a total reversal of American values.

Less than a week ago, the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), a non-elected board appointed by Governor Doyle, issued a new administrative rule that regulates and limits political speech and subjects violators to civil and criminal penalties.
The ruling is the most serious threat to our freedom of speech that I have witnessed in my lifetime.
I agree with my political opponent, Scot Ross with One Wisconsin Now, who said, “Under the new rule, now free speech becomes regulated speech.”
I can assure the members of Americans for Prosperity, the patriots of the Tea Party Movement, and members of all other liberty advancing groups that we take this action very, very seriously and we have our legal team exploring all options to respond to this outrage.
Find more details at www.fightbackwisconsin.com. Remember “NOVEMBER IS COMING!”
Thanks,
Mark Block, State Director, Americans for Prosperity
p.s. Vicki McKenna, the rock star of radio, did a show on this outrage. Click Here to hear her and James Troopis discuss the actions of GAB.

Scott Feldt for Wisconsin State Treasurer
Scott Feldt, candidate for Wisconsin State Treasurer, spoke to me about the important purpose of the State Treasurer’s office. According to Feldt, the State Treasurer’s office controls Billions of dollars of other people’s money and a change in leadership would assure that the money is handled properly in the future.

Karl Rove at the Wisconsin Republican’s State Convention
Republicans were honored to have Karl Rove delivered the keynote address at the Wisconsin Republican’s State Convention in Milwaukee, WI last month. After an exciting day of endorsing candidates, voting on policies, and rallying the troops – it was refreshing to hear Mr. Rove speak with such clarity as he described the events happening in Washington D.C. since Barack Obama took office.

Rebecca Kleefisch, Candidate for Lt. Governor
Rebecca Kleefisch, candidate for Lt. Governor, spoke to me at the State Republican Convention in Milwaukee, WI.
Rebecca has experience in marketing and media and was an on camera news personality in a major market. She exposed some of the political corruption in Madison by asking tough questions during her assignment as an investigative reporter.
As Lt. Governor, she believes she can help the Governor bring new business ventures to Wisconsin by using her marketing and personal relations skills.
She has an opinion on the business climate in Wisconsin and how it needs to be fixed. She scolds Rep. Dave Obey for voting for the tax increases that have help drive businesses out of Wisconsin.

Ben Collins, Candidate for Lt. Governor
Watch the Wis7GOP interview with Lt. Governor Candidate, Ben Collins.
Ben Collins, a former Green Beret Commander and Afghanistan war vet, says his strengths include leadership. He currently owns and operates runs a successful business in Wisconsin and feels that a new Republican Governor is going to need a leader by his side.
Wisconsin continues to loose jobs and employers at a record pace and the a new Wisconsin administration will have an up hill battle to wage to try and bring new jobs and businesses into Wisconsin.
It appears that President Obama is waging his own war against Capitalism and business, by doing everything he can to destroy our nations economy.
Republicans are scrambling to find ways to thwart the progress of Socialism and Marxism spewing out of the White House and many are wondering if President Obama is actually, as many Conservatives Talk Show hosts are saying, collapsing the economy on purpose.
We need conservatives running our State and Federal government that believe in what the founders believed. Wisconsin needs a Lt. Governor that will stands for less government, lower taxes, and bringing business to Wisconsin again.
