Sean Duffy – Wisconsin 7th Congressional District Caucus
March 19, 2011
After 42 years of District Caucuses, without an elected Republican in office, the 7th Congressional District welcomed freshman Congressman Sean Duffy to their Hayward meeting on March 19th. The event was both a celebration of accomplishments over the previous year, but also a call to action to stay involved as we head into 2012.
President Obama and Democrats in Washington have continued spending at record levels pushing the United States to a $14 Trillion deficit. Republicans seem to be the only ones willing to put the government’s financial house in order and the leadership is going to have to come out of the Republican controlled House of Representatives.
Democrats want to simply maintain the status quo in hopes that the budget will balance itself. Their answer is to hold spending at its current levels, but that is simply not sustainable and will be a disaster for the country.
Dan Kapanke for U.S. Congress – 3rd District
A reminder the 7th Congressional District, we aren’t the only District with a great candidate trying to win in November. State Senator Dan Kapanke spoke about his campaign for Congress at the Wisconsin Republican State Convention in Milwaukee, WI. Dan Kapanke is running for the 3rd District Congressional Seat for the United States Congress.
Mayor Dave Ross – Candidate for Lt. Governor of Wisconsin
Mayor Dave Ross – Candidate for Lt. Governor of Wisconsin was interviewed by Wis7GOP at the Republican State Convention in Milwaukee, WI. Dave is the Mayor of Superior, WI and is a “Conservative that was elected and re-elected in a Democrat City” that was still able to get the job done.

Sean Duffy, Candidate for US Congress
Get to know your candidates!
Sean Duffy, Candidate for United States Congressional Seat from Wisconsin, is facing Dave Obey, the 40 year political Goliath from Wausau, WI. Dave Obey loves to brag about being the author of the failed Stimulus Package and was in the inner circle with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid fighting against Wisconsin to pass the un-Constitutional Heath Care Reform Bill.
Sean is a devoted conservative that wants to fight to bring Wisconsin values to Washington. He is the District Attorney in Ashland County and former Chairman of the 7th Congressional District Republicans.
The video below is from the 7th Congressional Caucus held on March 6th, 2010 in Wausau, WI.
After this speech, Sean was endorsed by the 7th Congressional District Caucus and is our Conservative Republican pick to face Dave Obey in November. Please support the efforts of Sean’s campaign today

Wisconsin 7th Congressional District Caucus
Welcome to the 7th Congressional District of Wisconsin’s 2010 Caucus. This year was packed full of candidates and attendees. There is definitely excitement brewing within the 7th District as conservatives get energized to retake America at the polls in November 2010.
As a result of the Caucus, delegates voted to endorse Congressional Candidate Sean Duffy of Ashland to run against Dave Obey of Wausau. Dave Obey, a Liberal Democrat, has been in the Congress for over 40 years and is the self proclaimed author of the Stimulus Bill. His authorship of the stimulus bill is debatable, but we do know that Dave loves to bring a lot of Pork home around election time ~ but only shows up for photo ops before being wisked away back to the safe environment of Washington (where he doesn’t have answer any questions about his actions).
The election of 2o1o is going to be a major project for candidates and local parties. We urge each citizen to get involved as much as they can. Elections take time and money and victory isn’t going to come cheap. Donations of money are great, but time and hard work are just as important.
Please consider volunteering for someones campaign. Will you get involved? November 2010 is coming soon!
